Gales Ferry, CT: The New England Livery Association (NELA) announced Gary McKeon, Director of Operations of Joshua’s Limousine Service, as a new board member representing Connecticut. As a board member, Mr McKeon will be leading all communications and unifying livery services throughout the State of Connecticut.
Mr. McKeon will join the board as one of sixteen members that are voted in by secret ballot at the NELA annual meeting. The New England Livery Association “is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting quality service and management in the ground transportation industry”. Mr. McKeon has been an advocate for advancing the professionalism of limousine and livery service through excellence, customer service and management throughout the company’s inception in 1995.
Mr. McKeon is from Norwich Connecticut and is an alumnus of Norwich Free Academy. Prior to founding Joshua’s Limousine Service with President Belinda McKeon, he served on the Ledyard Connecticut’s police force for ten years and for seven years served as a Mashantucket Pequot Fire Chief.
Son of Marine Sergeant Roland McKeon, a Purple Heart recipient, Gary McKeon annually supports military charities and organizations such as Wounded Warriors, Reason to Ride, and Toys for Tots. Mr. McKeon and the team at Joshua’s Limousine also support other charities such as Babies Heart Run, Stuff the Bus with Foxwoods and Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Currently, Mr. McKeon oversees 2 livery services with its headquarters in Gales Ferry, CT. The company grew from one office to two and from six vehicles to now 39+ and 58+ employees.
